BCs act as the voice of the private sector to advocate increased action, being a facilitator and supporting company action against HIV/AIDS in the workplace. BCs provide programme implementation, programme management and most importantly strategic marketing skills where it is required. Strategic Marketing Skills are required to help attract new companies to be part of the voice and the action against HIV/AIDS in the workplace.
BCs are an important arm of many organizations to convince and engage small and medium enterprises (SMEs), a critical sector to activate in the action against HIV/AIDS in the workplace.
BCs enable companies to share best practices, to develop coordinated responses and to Leverage their resources to better combat HIV/AIDS. BCs facilitate information sharing, permitting economies of scale in the development of workplace HIV/AIDS products and service and in creating a strong, unified front for public policy and advocacy.
BCs enable companies to share substantial financial resources, well established business networks, political networks and strong incentives to combat the disease in the workplace.
